The all-Tolkien-all-the-time portion of DragonCon 2007 wants your fan-films. The massive annual event held in Atlanta each year wants to showcase the many talented fan films out in the world made as an ode to the LOTR books or films. If you know of anyone making Tolkien-related fan films (or happen to be a Tolkien fan film maker yourself) please nudge them (or yourself) in the general direction of the Tolkien Track for Dragon con found here. Anybody can take part in it. The organizer secures more part of costumes and props. Asked to design a fitting repository for a client’s valuable collection of J.R.R. Tolkien manuscripts and artifacts, architect Peter Archer went to the source—the fantasy novels that describe the abodes of the diminutive Hobbits. “I came back my client and said, ‘I’m not going to make this look like Hollywood,’” Archer recalled, choosing to focus instead on a finely-crafted structure embodying a sense of history and tradition.
