Sylvester McCoy confirmed to appear in ‘The Minister of Chance’ movie

minister of chanceOur friends behind the very popular audio series The Minister of Chance have contacted us to share some exciting news – Sylvester McCoy is confirmed to reprise his role as The Witch Prime in the planned movie.

The Minister of Chance is well known by many fans, who feel a sense of ownership of the project; it was crowd-funded from the very beginning and, with no publicity budget, its popularity came through word of mouth alone. The audio series boasts a stellar cast including, in addition to McCoy, Jed Brophy, Paul McGann and Philip Glenister. McCoy’s character in the show, The Witch Prime, is the leader of the Sezians, a group who believe in magic and hate science. Dan Freeman, the series’ writer, says, ‘He’s like a kind of evil Pope. Sylvester absolutely loves playing a baddie!’

If you know the audio series you’ll already be very excited about the prospect of a Minister of Chance movie. If you aren’t yet familiar with the show, then check it out! Once again, fans have the opportunity to be involved with the making of the movie – and there are lots of exciting things on offer for those who support the production.

Rumour has it that Jed Brophy will also be reprising his role of The Pilot; this is yet to be 100% confirmed, but as soon as we hear more, we’ll let you know!
