As well as The Grove in LA turning into Erebor, countries all over the world are starting to show off their own Hobbit excitement in the lead up to it’s worldwide release on December 13th.
We reported earlier on the Express train in Toronto and the upcoming installation at Wellington Airport, along with these we’ve received images of Smaug smashing out of the pavement in Romania. We’ve been told it’s just part of a large sculpture which will include Bilbo. We can’t wait to see it when it’s completed as we think it’s looking pretty darned amazing already.
“After having embraced the Lonely Mountain thousands of years ago, today Smaug, the fierce dragon in “The Hobbit” has reached Bucharest Unirii Square to mark the launch on 13 December of the film “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug “on the big screen in Romania.”
There’s more about it here (anyone who speaks Romanian and can send us a full translation, we’d be really grateful 🙂 )
