TORn Message Boards Weekly Roundup – November 29, 2011

November 29, 2011 at 9:10 pm by Kelvarhin  -

Gandalf the WhiteWelcome to our collection of TORn’s hottest topics for the past week. If you’ve fallen behind on what’s happening on the Message Boards, here’s a great way to catch the highlights. Or if you’re new to TORn and want to enjoy some great conversations, just follow the links to some of our most popular discussions. Watch this space as every week we will spotlight the most popular buzz on TORn’s Message Boards. Everyone is welcome, so come on in and join in the fun!

This week, Mooseboy018 writes “I just came up with a list of some of the things that bug me about the movies, and I wanted to know other people’s opinions. I tried to focus on mostly smaller things because I think the “THEY RUINED FARAMIR!” and “ELVES AT HELM’S DEEP?!?!?!” issues have been brought up enough.” So what things about the three LOTR movies bug you the most?

Silliness abounds on Main as TheCoon asks us about a wizards flatulence… Check them out here 😉

Over on Off Topic, taekotemple is asking us about the Holiday Season.  Do you prefer to wish people a Merry Christmas, or a Happy Holidays?

We’ll share more topics next week and hope you can join in on the conversation! Don’t forget, TheOneRing.net’s message boards have over 7000 registered Tolkien fans, just like yourself! Let your voice be heard.

I think everyone is looking at the movies too critically…though I agree there are several things I don’t like, either.

I HATE that Faramir “spring rain” line to Eowyn.  It sounds lame and effete.  I know being sensitive is one of his great qualities, but the way it is delivered just does not make it for me.
