EMPIRE Hobbit Pics Online!

June 29, 2011 at 7:27 am by newsfrombree  -

We reported last week that EMPIRE would be featuring The Hobbit on their Aug 2011 cover. Today, they have posted those images on their website for your viewing pleasure! The first is a very similar image to what we’ve already seen from EW.com. However, in this version Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins is facing the camera and we get a much clearer view of the Dwarven document in his hands. The second pic is of Ian McKellen as Gandalf standing in an empty Bag End. Check them out at the EMPIRE website and don’t forget to pick up your copy on newsstands!  [EMPIRE]

I know that the dwarves are been kept secret for the most part but I’m thinking that the bald one on the left is Aidan Turner….

Thorin Oakenshield is the best!!! He looks amazing!

I notice that Gandalf is supposed to look a bit younger here (the beard). Perhaps its to compensate for McKellan looking older, but… shouldn’t Gandalf look the same as he did in Fellowship? Like 80 years is a drop in the bucket for him — in fact, he is essentially immortal as he was “born” an old man.

that he is born old. doesn’t matter. he could have cut his beard of because it annoyed him. so do we if our hair is growing to long then we cut it.

It does tak about him looking and acting older in the lord of the rings, especialy before he confronts the Balrog.
