John sends this along: Explore Tolkiens Middle-earth in a 10-week on-line course hosted by the Centre for Lifelong Learning at Cardiff University. The course will examine Tolkiens awareness of northern European mythologies and languages as well as other aspects of his scholarly background, by concentrating on The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. The course will be run three times during the next academic year starting on:
