Meghan, Online Community Manager for The Lord of the Rings Online writes: This week on the LOTRO site we’ve posted two new screenshots. You can find them at the top of our screenshot gallery.
If all goes as planned, next week we’ll be bringing you the last installment of our recent (but not final) series of class updates – the Lore-master. You might have read in the March issue of Computer Games that the Lore-master can have a raven companion!
Andy Serkis, John Rhys-Davies, Sala Baker and Shane Rangi are slated to be guests this weekend at ‘Collectormania G-Mex’ in Manchester, UK. Orodromeus writes: I’m going to the Symphony tonight! After the cancellation of yesterday’s concert, the latest news is that tonight Terry Edwards’ chief assistant Scott Dunn will be conducting. So the Saturday concert will take place, while the Friday public will be given its money back. I’m hoping tonight’s concert will take place! I’ll be sending an e-mail on how it all went. Keep up the good work!
Wizards… short creatures… elves… a young lad with a big destiny… Nope, we’re not talking about ‘Lord of the Rings,’ but instead: Harry Potter! Following TORn’s wildly successful series of LOTR-Trilogy “watch and chats,” we’re starting up this weekend with the much-requested Harry Potter series. This Saturday at 5:30 pm EST we will start off with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (that’s the Philosopher’s stone to everyone but us obviously confused Americans). Following that, “Chamber of Secrets” on 2/18, “Prisoner of Azkaban” on 2/25, and after a short break, “Goblet of Fire” on March 11th, following its release on DVD on 3/7. [More]
Join us tomorrow on our IRC server at 5:30 pm EST when we pop our copies of the film into the DVD player. After the usual confusion, at around 5.30pm EST we’ll all press play on our individual players and proceed to cheer and jeer (or discuss and argue, if you like!) the finer points of the film.
For information on IRC chat and how to take part in the fun, visit our FAQ. Chat is family-friendly and easy in TORn’s lively chat rooms. If you’ve never checked it out, this is a great chance to meet the regulars and have some fun. [Join the chat now!]

We plan to take a break midway through the film, to allow for stretching of fingers and backs. Barliman will be on hand to serve drinks and snacks (and to enforce the house rules).
