Ringers: Lord of the Fans will have its West Coast premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival, and there will be a Line Party function to celebrate it. On Saturday, April 23, we will have an afternoon of costumes, trivia, games, and fellowship. The screening (all ages welcome) begins at 7:30pm, and then there is a post party over at the Hard Rock Cafi at Fashion Island (21 and over). The Irvine Line Party has changed its name to the Newport Beach Lido Theater line party, and its purpose is to celebrate the screening of Ringers here in Southern California. This screening will take place as part of the Newport Beach Film Festival, and occur on April 23, 2005. There will be a costume contest, trivia and other Middle Earth themed games, and lots of Fellowship. Please sign up for the Line Party official website or by phone at 866-NBFF-TIX. Combo price for both screening ticket and the party is $50 each. Screening tickets only are just $15 each.

Also on the Line Party page, you will notice that the local fan group, Tolkien Forever, will be involved in a fundraiser for Make a Wish (wish.org) on April 25, 2005. This will take place at a local Cold Stone Creamery (TBD), as part of a Nationwide effort by the chain to raise funds for Make a Wish. This is being called the World’s Largest Ice Cream Cake social, so even if you can’t stop by the LA area Cold Stone Creamery on April 25, find one near you to visit. Check the following for info.
