Carol writes: The Phoenix Symphony has just announced it will perform the Western United States premiere of “The LOTR Symphony” on May 26. Conducting will be Alexander Mikelthwate, who worked closely with composer Howard Shore in helping to prepare the American premiere of the symphony in March. Tickets go on sale to the public beginning April 4 through the Symphony’s website and through the Phoneix Symphony Box Office at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 5.
