The Aragorn & Arwen NZ Air Plane
SunnyJim writes: I’m traveling through NZ and heard on the radio yesterday that Air New Zealand is going to do a flyby of the Premier with one of their LOTR-painted 747’s. To paraphrase the ANZ spokesperson: “Yes, it is rather unusual to do a flyby of a city with such a large aircraft, but New Zealand hosting a world premier is fairly unusual as well.”

Matt writes: Just now on our TV3 news here in NZ, the lead story was the Australasia Press screening of ROTK. Although the reporter was sworn to secrey about the film itself, the reporter talked to Peter Jackson at the opening of Viggo’s art exhibition last night. In the comment from Peter, he mentioned that he actually hasn’t seen the whole completed film yet! Apparently, the film was finished in parts that were sent to New Line, and that he is actually waiting until Monday’s world premiere to see the completed film in one sitting.
