While Peter Jackson directs The Return of the King, another Wellington resident is blazing a trail as a director of the video game version. Sharon James, whose work on The Lord of the Rings films has included choreographing fight scenes used for digital effects, is back in Wellington after five months in San Francisco and Vancouver working on The Return of the King video game. Here are the details: The interview will be broadcast on Auckland’s 95bFM at 11:30am on Sunday, July 27. Here’s where it get’s tricky. For North Americans that’s 4:30PM Pacific Standard Time (7:30PM Eastern Standard Ttime) on SATURDAY, July 26th. In London that’s 12:30AM on Sunday, July 27th.

Jedd Scher from The G4 Network writes: Elijah Wood (Frodo) will be presenting an award at the G4 Television’s first annual G-Phoria Awards. This award show celebrates the year’s best video games and presents awards in a wide variety of categories. The show takes place Wednesday, July 30th at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, and will air on the G4 network at 8:00 PM on August 8th.
