Nam Le writes: I just watched an interview with US press secretary Ari Fleischer and he says hes a big Tolkien fan and the only movie he was able to watch was TTT. He says he loved it, Cal Thomas from Fox News Channel asked him if he liked the Good versus evil aspect of LOTR. Ari replied that Its a great story.

In Kuwait there seems to be an email campaign to try and get the local cinema chain KNCC to show TTT soon – it hasn’t arrived yet and local fans are getting very frustrated. The ‘coming soon’ note on KNCC’s website isn’t making them feel any better, as it’s been there for months. Meanwhile in Bulgaria Skycycle writes that TTT isn’t leading in the box office, but it is due to open in ten more cities.

Late June will see the 179-minute theatrical cut arrive on a two-disc set. As part of its raft of extras, which stands to include mini internet documentaries and television specials, it may even carry a preview of the third and final installment, The Return of the Kind, in UK cinemas this December.
