“This is the trird time I come to Greece”, said Christopher Lee, the perfect Count Dracula in a series of films, just arrived at “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport from Myconos, where he spend a few days with his wife. “The first time was during World War II, now I come to take part in the Film Festival, where I will present one of my films”. Mr Lee is invited by the big circulation newspaper “Eleftherotypia” for the 14th Panorama of European Cinema, sponsored by them.

Late last night he presented his classic film “The Devil rides out” to a select audiance at the downtown Apollo cinema. There also, on Thursday evening during the closing ceremony of the festival, he will be awarded the Special Panorama Award. I’ll try to go and report for you all.

Andrew here, from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I just wanted to let people know that (well they’ve missed it now) that on Fox8 in Australia, they just showed the entire new preview. It was on “Premiere with Antonia Kidman” (Yes, Nicole’s sister). They might replay the show over the next few days up to a week. (I guess). It isn’t very long into the ‘show’ it’s not at the END where a lot of Entertainment Shows put movie clips.

A return to Broadway between film parts has Britain’s Ian McKellen (Gandalf) in Olivier’s last memorable stage role and well out of his shadow. It’s fun to call him Sir Ian – and not just because the queen of England awarded the title to someone who played Death to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Last Action Hero” and Dracula on a Pet Shop Boys’ video.
