SYDNEY (Reuters) – Actress Cate Blanchett (Galadriel) and her screenwriter husband Andrew Upton are expecting their first child late this year.

“It was a wonderful surprise and we couldn’t be happier,” the Australian-born Blanchett said in a statement released by her Sydney publicist on Friday.
