TheOneRing.net Description: Bifur and his cousins Bofur and Bombur are the only dwarves in Thorin’s company who are not Longbeard Dwarves of the House of Durin; although their House is unknown, they descend from Dwarves who lived under Durin’s rule in Moria, otherwise known as Khazad-dûm. Bifur asks for raspberry jam and apple tart while eating at Bag End and plays the clarinet. When captured by the Trolls, he is said to have given a lot of trouble and fought like mad. He also alerts the party that Bofur and Bombur are still below with the ponies when they are about to flee into the Mountain to escape Smaug.
