And in LOTR Movie W1tchK1inG wants to know if Tolkien made a mistake when he described the deaths of two of the Balrogs (Gothmog and Durins Bane), “Gothmog was killed by Ecthalion when he knocked him into the water. In both movie and the book Durin’s Bane falls into water in lowest dungeon with Gandalf while fighting him but “from the lowest dungeon to the highest peak” they still fought.” Do you have a theory about this?
