ImladrisRose – Reminds me of the edge of Fangorn.
greendragon – Beorn.

greendragon – Beorn again. (Sorry, I just had to…)
Altaira – Interesting that we’ve now had a few glimpses of Beorn as a bear, but none of him as man. The film-makers seem to want to keep it a secret up until opening day. Also interesting that Beorn the bear seems to be chasing the company towards his house. You’d think he’d be trying to protect it from strangers – unless he’s herding them there to save them from even greater peril.
ImladrisRose – Omg. Quite alarming.
Demosthenes – Seems to me that that bear is not entirely the same as the bear we see in the first trailer. It could be a half-changed Beorn, designed to add instant drama at the very start of DOS. Also, fans of anime director Miyazaki might notice a resemblance to a scene at the beginning of Princess Mononoke.
Elessar – Beorn? You look a little upset. Why?
Entmaiden – !!!!!!! Beorn!!!!!
Gramma – Beorn! Out of nowhere! FANTASTIC!
Kelvarhin – Whoa! Beorn! Is that some sort of cuff on his wrist?
Mithril – Assuming it’s Beorn emerging from the forest. Doesn’t look totally bear-like but kinda weird.
MrCere – That does not appear to be a straight up bear but more like a ware-bear around the head and shoulders. I wonder now if the bear at the door visible in the previous trailer wasn’t Beorn but one of his animal minions.
Sarumann – That is a big bear! That’s clearly Beorn, and I can’t wait to see him tearing through some orcs in the Battle of Five Armies!
Saystine – Beorn! I can’t wait to see more of him.

ImladrisRose – Loving the lens flare!
Entmaiden – Where is this door???
Garfiemao – Must be Beorn’s hedgerow, with carved Bears on top from the looks of it.
Gramma – The wall around Beorn’s home is not what I expected… but it’s perfect!
greendragon – So the rumours are true. Beorn does chase them all to his house. Why is he a bear by day?? Love the look of Beorn’s gates…
Kelvarhin – Gandalf leading the Dwarves to Beorn’s house, really happy they’ve left the huge hedge in. What is that sticking up above the gate? Carved bears perhaps?
Mithril – Are the Dwarves being chased into Beorn’s yard by Beorn? Have a feeling we are going to sadly miss the gradual introduction of the company that’s in the book.
MrCere – As much lens flare as a Star Trek movie. They sure are in a hurry to leave, so perhaps they aren’t leaving but arriving, or perhaps – to add drama / stakes / peril  – Peter will have Beorn chase them for a bit before they discover he is their host and he learns they are his guests. I think either Azog’s guys or Beorn is chasing them here.

ImladrisRose – SO cool.
Kelvarhin – Ah a closer look, yep, they appear to be two carved bears. Are they leaning on shields?
Sarumann – Still not seeing much of Beorn’s house here, but anything with that kind of a wall surrounding it has to be impressive.
Saystine – I have no memory of this place. I am not sure where this is.

ImladrisRose – Ah the barrels!
Garfiemao – Top loading the barrels, interesting concept.
Mithril – We already knew this, but the Dwarves definitely make it into the barrels without Bilbo’s help. And it looks rushed. So they must be found out. But we knew that, too, or thought we did by the Elves running along the trees after them.
MrCere  – Certainly more dramatic and full of adventure this way but I did soooo want to see Bilbo stuff these guys in barrels. This promises (obviously) to be a lively action sequence.
Rud the Spud – Kili jumping into a barrel already in the water? Did he release the barrels while everyone else rolled into the water already inside barrels? Hmmmmm.

ImladrisRose – Good shot there, Kili?
Gramma – Ow! Dropping into those barrels one at a time in the heaving water had to hurt!

ImladrisRose – Hiding from the big bad dragon. Classic.
Garfeimao – What are the dwarves doing inside Erebor when Smaug is still there? NO, NO, NO, Not Listening, Not Looking, What the Frak?
greendragon – Again, what are they doing up by the main entrance to Erebor?
Kelvarhin – Is this part of the Dwarves annoying the Dragon, that we’ve been hearing about?
Mithril – The Dwarves in Erebor. So they’ve already entered the Mountain. I think this may be when they first follow Bilbo inside down the path, and the door gets wrecked behind them.
Rud the Spud – Is Bombur wearing a slightly more regal costume from inside Erebor? If so, we have a change from the book where they Dwarves enter before Smaug has left. Or it could be garb from Lake-town.

ImladrisRose – Hopefully no beards get singed off.
Gramma – Balin remembers how to hide from a Dragon’s spew! Singed hair anyone?
Kelvarhin – I’m guessing yes… It looks far too wide a space for it to be the Dwarves and Bilbo trapped in the tunnel.
MrCere – So a bunch of really lively action sequences and suddenly THIS!! This great big jet of fire! That caused me to use two exclamation points! I can’t think of anything that could possibly cause this except the great worm Smaug so I think we are seeing a prelude to his exit from The Lonely Mountain. Maybe Bard was right?!
Saystine – Smaug attacking Erebor again. I like this. It echoes back to the prologue scene.

ImladrisRose – Afternoon swim?
Gramma – Geez… Bilbo is really taking a beating in this flick!
