‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ – Trailer 2 – Frame by Frame Analysis
JW: To so many people around the world, The Lord of the Rings films are “those movies with Gollum in them”. How many people in theaters this week are sitting up saying, “Woah, he’s back?” Great stuff from Gollum here, looking like he just stepped off the set of The Two Towers and The Return of the King.
What if it loses?
Calisuri: I’m loving the Wargs – i was a bit worried they may look too much like those from LOTR…and I was never a big fan of that character design. These look great.
If it loses, we eats it whole.
Elessar: All of the Riddles in the Dark sequence I just loved. It was amazing and Gollum and Bilbo played off of each other how I think it comes across in the book.
Magpie: I enjoyed this scene. Gollum’s such a child in some ways. “I’ll eat him” (although I warrant he can’t eat him whole) and Bilbo back at him with “fair enough”. It will be fun to watch the two actors play off each other. Gollum is looking more real than ever.

Magpie: Bilbo’s jacket is showing some wear and tear!
