This morning in the U.S. the Golden Globe nominations were announced and while entertainment junkies like us enjoy the whole list, there are a couple of noms of special interest (Peter Jackson and Weta related) we wanted to point out, but we are going to make you click once to see the list:
Weta related:
Best Picture, Drama: Avatar
Best Director: James Cameron, Avatar
Best Song: “I Will See You,” Avatar
Best Score: Avatar
(Weta was the special effects house for the special effects movie.)

Peter Jackson directed:
Best Supporting Actor:Stanley Tucci, The Lovely Bones

Peter Jackson produced:
Best Screenplay: District 9
(Weta had some involvement here too including design work from Greg Broadmore but they were busy with Avatar and the effects were done elsewhere.)
