Rick from Turbine writes: The latest entry in our Hero’s series takes us beneath the Redhorn. Far below the peak—beneath its namesake pass, below and between the gates of mighty Khazad-dûm, in the roots of the mountain—the Dwarves mined the ruddy stones of the Redhorn. They hollowed out a hole in the mountain and left it hollow.

Also this week we have two exciting new points of interest in our Exploring Middle-earth series; Zirakzigil and Annunlos. Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings will recognize Zirakzigil as the peak upon which Gandalf the Grey and the Balrog of Moria battled, to their mutual demise. While the territory occupied by Annunlos appears on the original maps of Middle-earth, the name of the area was created by Turbine using J.R.R. Tolkien’s Sindarin language. Players of The Lord of the Rings Online™ will find themselves adventuring in Annunlos in defense of the Forsaken Inn.
