Mortensen’s ‘Hidalgo’ Review
Tammy writes: Not sure if you are interested in reading a reivew of the film but Disney has started test screenings for Hidalgo throughout southern califormia and I was able to see it last night along with a theater filled with other very mixed demographics.
It’s about two and a half hours long but very well paced. I wasn’t familiar with the story at all but I think that made the suspense more exciting since I didnt’ know what would happen to the characters at the end of the film.
The acting was superb, not just Viggo Mortensen’s. The arabian desert was beautiful and the sets were wonderful. The story was well written with appropriate comedic moments scattered throughout the entire film.
The end of the Ocean of Fire race and the end of the film itself pay for the cost of admission entirely. I won’t include any spoilers here because I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who may want to be kept in the dark about what happens.Posted in Old Special Reports on September 17, 2003 by xoanon
