New Zealand: Middle-earth Magic
I got an issue of Condé Nast Traveler and to my delight I saw a headline on the front that said: “NEW ZEALAND: Middle-earth Magic.” I have scanned the pages so that you can see the gorgeous photography.
ALSO: The captions contain crucial info about where certain things were filmed. I’m not sure if you already have these, but they’re definitely VERY cool.
Misty Mountains=Milford Sound in Fiordland National Park
Mordor=parkland near Cape Palliser, North Island the Anduin=Kawarau river
“Fellowship’s approach to the Paths of the Dead”=Putangirua Pinnacles, North Island
I’m still not sure whether this is a spy report or not, because I really didn’t do any spying. This is the SEPTEMBER issue of Condé Nast Traveler for those nterested in getting their own copy.Posted in Old Special Reports on August 25, 2002 by xoanon
