Just got an email from Ringer fan Jeremy redirecting us to The Digital Bits. They have a great scoop on the December release of Rush Hour 2 DVD. Sources tell The Digital Bits that hidden on the disc will be the LOTR second teaser trailer AND the latest (WB Premiered) Fellowship of the Ring trailer! Woo! Nothing like watching the trailers in 5.1 Dolby Digital. [More]

So what IS Burger King doing to promote LOTR? Fear not, from this spy report, it doesn’t sound like we will have to tolerate “The One Onion Ring.” Ringer Elenhim sends this in:
“Hey there. An inside source from Burger King tells me that a 10 minute preview (perhaps the same one from Cannes) was shown to restaurant managers today at a National Franchise Association Restaurant Managers Conference in Birmingham, Alabama. They were also informed of various promotional items to be available with the release of FOTR including: 19 individual character toys that are described as “interlocking toys with voice and light capabilities” and also 4 goblets depicting different characters. “
I guess I’m going to have to start hitting Burger King…but it is going to be extremely hard to break my newly found passion for ‘In and Out Burgers.’
If you are a subscriber of the LOTR New Line Shop newsletter, you will know the official cardboard stand-ups are now available for purchase. The life-sized stand-ups of Saruman, Gandalf, Frodo, and all 4 hobbits, range in price from $29.95 to $39.95 (US). You can also get the complete set for $100. [More]
