TheOneRing.net can exclusively reveal that Lawrence Makoare, who appeared as Lurtz in The Fellowship of the Ring, will return in The Return of the King as the Witchking of Angmar, Lord of the Nazgúl! Makoare himself told us about the casting move which occured months ago during filming when he paid the regulars of TORn’s chatroom Barlimans a visit from Comic-Con in San Diego! We hope to bring the transcript of the chat as soon as possible.

Sunday’s Atlanta Journal was full of national chain-store weekly sale brochures that contained advertisements for the FOTR VHS/DVD due out Tuesday. Since many folks don’t get Sunday papers, I’ve compiled a list of many stores and the price they will be selling the movies. (Some stores are running special promotions, and this information is included as well.) [More]

B_Irish writes: Was in my local town, Longford on Saturday and they had Fellowship of The Ring on sale in DVD format & VHS. I had to have one, even though it was almost 10 dearer than you’d buy online, 35! I saw it on sale in Tesco, Chartbusters & Xtravision, so I’d assume it is on sale all across Ireland too. (I checked my local Tesco today and it didn’t have the DVD or VHS, so obviously availability fluctuates from place to place – S)

Yanks writes: Just wanted to let you know that many of the local video stores in suburban New York are selling “LOTR” copies for $24.95. I just bought mine today from a Captain Video in Orangeburg, New York, and more can be found throughout the tristate area in those Captain Videos and a few Blockbuster’s.
