Liv Tyler (Arwen) is on the cover of the November issue of W Magazine, the fashion Mag. In a surprisingly insightful article, she discusses Tolkien and PJ’s films at length. The interview includes the following reassuring-to-purists statement about how Arwen (or as dubious fans have dubbed her, XenArwen) will be portrayed in the films:

“Let’s get this straight,” says Tyler…”Arwen is SO not like Xena in any way. She’s a totally kick-ass, tough chick, but she doesn’t fight. Those are all just rumors. Peter Jackson asked me to do this, and he’s an incredible lover of Tolkien. I had to trust that, and so should the fans. If you don’t want to see what another person does with the part, then don’t go to the movies.”

Meeeeow…

Ringer Spy Noah sends along this secret pic he managed to get out of the endless terrain of the internet. Sadly mind you, the image has been blurred…just for this very reason…sigh..

The ladies (and apparently some men) never get tired of Orlando Bloom (Legolas), here is another one thanks to Artemis (via Yahoo! Clubs). Take a peek!

Ringer Spy Telcontar sends along these shots from the forthcoming ANCANAR Trailer, ANCANAR is the indie LOTR related film being made out in LA.

The trailer is due out sometime this month I think, and included these shots–the first couple are a candle-flickering stone background with runes going across, turning into the text “A Hidden City”, then the last one showing the Rammoth valley with the text “A Legacy Threatened”. Ihe moving shots lookgreat (i’m biased), I haven’t seen the whole trailer though.

Hi there. I have been a long time visitor to your TORN site and have always wanted to add to the news section but have always been beaten to the finish line by one of my fellow Autralian fans. But i have heard some news that may be interesting for you. I have heard from a chief Kings Comics employee in Sydney that they might be showing a sneek preview of The Fellowship Of The Ring a week before its general release. The last preview Kings did was of The Planet Of The Apes, and when it came time to decide what their next preview film would be, The Fellowship Of The Ring was the unanimous decision. So if all goes according to plan some lucky fans will get to see the movie a whole week before the public can. But this all depends on how big New Line Cinema wants to make its Sydney Premiere.
