TORN LA Gathering 2004
Get that Wraith!

I’ll try to keep this short since I know you really want to hear about the Oscar Party itself. I cannot comment about the events of this past weekend without mentioning the HARD work and dedication the TORN Staff and volunteers showed out in Los Angeles. Sideshow/Weta Collectibles composed a great little DVD segment to premiere at ‘The Return of the One Party’ last Sunday. Unfortunately, because a small mess-up, we didn’t get to play the DVD! But never fear, Sideshow/Weta has now posted the details on their latest environment: The Mines of Moria. Let me emphasis that the detail on this piece is extreme. From the infamous staircase, to the bridge of Khazad-dum…you can literally re-enact the entire sequence from ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ in this environment. (Sorry, the ‘Incredible Shrinking Ray’ is sold separately.) Check it out! [More] (Hi-Res images and an exclusive Quicktime video will be posted later)

Barb writes that the Boston Museum of Science announces that ticket sales will open on June 1st for The Lord of the Rings Motion Picture Trilogy – The Exhibition. [More]

Wee answers: You didn’t miss the announcement. As soon as my fellow staffers get off their just-back-from-LA hung-over arses, we’ll be posting the Gandy results right here.

Joe (and many other Ringer Spies!) writes that Dominic Monaghan is going to be in a TV pilot for an ABC show entitled “Lost”. [More]
