Not sure if youre aware, but there is a very short LOTR article in the January 15 issue of Newsweek, pg 10.
THIRTEEN DAZE
How do you get kids in theaters for a Kennedy-era drama? (1) Call it “Hey Dude, Let’s Bomb Cuba” or (2) Pair it with the first “Lord of the Rings” trailer. Starting Friday, seats for “Thirteen Days” will be filled with Tolkienites eager for a peck at “Rings” (the Trilogy doesn’t open till December). Says one, “It’s not that I don’t care about the Cuban missile crisis, buuut…”

So many of’em. This one is over at Cinescape: “Which movie are you most looking forward to in the latter half of 2001?” I thought we’d posted about it, but we hadn’t. LOTR is running at 56% but it may steamroll a little further ahead if you go and vote here
Thanks to BenJudah for alerting us!

The first interview is just over 800K in size and runs for more than seven minutes; the second one is just over 600K and runs for five and a half minutes.
Check it all out here. [More]
