- Bilbo speaks earnestly to Thorin: “You’ve won the mountain is that not enough?”
- Thranduil returns on his warmoose, saying he is back to reclaim something of his own.
- A horde of enormous bats swarms from the hills.
- Galadriel comforts an injured Gandalf, the pair surrounded by as many as nine armoured figures.
- Saruman tells the keepers of the Three: “Leave Sauron to me”.
- Dwalin warns Thorin he is breaking Bilbo while Thranduil tells Gandalf he will finish what Gandalf began.
- At the very end a determined-looking Bilbo takes out the One Ring and puts it on.
The mood of the entire trailer is sombre and dramatic, a stark contrast to the teaser trailer.
