When Fili and Kili are forced to miss the county fair, they decide to bring the fair to them with some mischief in Farmer Maggot’s garden and pumpkin bread! In other words, we really did have to miss the fair after orcs attacked our truck tires, so we made the best of it by filming an episode! Recipe below.



2/3 cups of butter, softened
2 2/3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 can (1 lb or 15 z) of pumpkin
2/3 cup of water
3 1/3 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 2/2 teaspoons of salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 + teaspoon cinnamon
1+ teaspoon cloves

Heat oven to 350˚ F. Grease two 9x5x3-inch loaf pans or a larger pan if you only want one big loaf. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, pumpkin, and water. In a separate bowl, mix flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Add the dry mixture to the wet.

Pour into pans. Bake 70 minutes or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean. Leave a loaf for Farmer Maggot so that he won’t tell about the cabbages you stole, and keep one to enjoy yourself!
