Customise your own wallpaper from EW’s scroll!

July 11, 2012 at 7:09 pm by Demosthenes  -

Warner Brothers has released a fancy little app that allows you to customise and create your own wallpaper from Entertainment Weekly’s Hobbit scroll! Now you can create your very own personalised wallpaper for your desktop, your mobile, for profile icons, for facebook covers or even a twitter skin. So click away, and go crazy!

Bootnote: apparently there are some issues for mobile users on devices that don’t allow flash. Ooops.

Current version of Flash has a problem with current version of Firefox. Works OK in Chrome.

    crappy resolution

The idea is great, but the resolution is way too low. It becomes all blurry when finished. Warner should really fix this because the idea is fantastic.

    Now that is cool.

Graaahh! Everything I tried left my wallpaper blurry and stretched beyond usefulness. This is frustrating.

  6. Apparently there are also issues about creating profile icons! You can’t do it. Once you get to the scaling process, the NEXT buttong doesn’t work!

Very cool… until they forced you to slap a huge honkin’ logo on the wallpaper. Blah. You can download the scroll art (tinyurl.com) directly if you know where to look (/hobbitkeyart) 😉
