    Please tell her it is not OYN and GLOYN. Their names are pronounced O-IN and Glo-IN. Their names do not rhyme with a certain body part (groin).

    I think you’ll find that Aragorn in The Two Towers says “This is Gimli son of Gloyn” not Glo-in.

    I don’t think so. I just watched it, and while I can see where someone might think that’s the case, I think it’s actually just the result of Viggo’s voice and his particular nasal quality that his voice sometimes has. I’ve noticed it in several other scenes as well. It’s almost like he’s got a cold sometimes, with stuffy sinuses.

    Wow, you’re right… Elrond does a similar thing at the council “the ring cannot be destroyed, Gimli son of Gloin” it’s a sort of mixture of both pronunciations…
