Ian Holm & Christopher Lee Shooting The Hobbit, Today?!

July 16, 2011 at 9:06 am by xoanon  -

Elessar sends along a curious tweet from artists/illusionist Derren Brown, not 2 hours ago he tweeted the following:

@DerrenBrown Off to watch some Ian Holm and Christopher Lee being filmed for The Hobbit. HOW EXCITING!

The tweet gives us a little more info on the apparent ‘UK shoot’ taking place sometime soon (maybe even today). Along with news that Elijah Wood is heading to the UK soon, and of course word that Christopher Lee wants to be involved in The Hobbit, save for traveling to New Zealand. No official word can be gleamed from the production (trust me, I tried), let us hope we learn more soon!

Hmm…  If Lee is shooting his scenes alone in the UK, they will have to use their computer wizardry to have him in the scenes of the White Council, making it appear he’s in the same room as the rest.  Wonder how this will work..

Seems strange they would do this on a Saturday, but who knows?

  3. Patrick says:

Elijah isn’t ‘heading’ to the UK, he IS in the UK since Tuesday, there are several paparazzi pictures that show him in LAX and at the airport in London. He will be back for the San Diego Comic Con next week, so the shooting MUST be taking place these days.

Or maybe he’s not shooting his scenes alone… Ian McKellen was supposed to be back in the UK at this point for his play. Maybe he’ll shoot scenes (or at least read lines) with Lee while he’s there?

  5. Kwasylowski says:

Christopher Lee must be over two hundred years old – he really is a hobbit
