Kiwi-born Sharon Ali wants to show her Canadian-born family as many Kiwi sights as possible – including Matamata’s Hobbiton movie set and farm tour. “We arrived in New Zealand two years ago and I am determined for my family to see as much of the country as possible.

“The trip to the Hobbiton set was perfect for showing off rural New Zealand. “I went to school at Hamilton Girls’, so I have lived in the Waikato, but I have to confess we got a bit lost travelling to Matamata – we haven’t travelled much around those parts, but we got to the township and the information office gave directions back to the Andersons’ farm.
