Director Jay Russel has posted a new blog on his MySpace website. He has some very exciting news!
“Just a brief note to tell you how excited I am that I just signed James Newton Howard on to compose the score for “The Waterhorse.” I loved his scores for “The Sixth Sense” and “Signs.” I thought both pieces had a wonderful combination of tension and mysticism. Not the easiest musical feat to accomplish.“
Dean Goodman’s latest article covering the Box Office race this weekend features a laughable misnomer when he states that the movie ‘Primeval’ stars Dominic Purcell and Orlando Bloom. The film of course stars Dominic Purcell and Orlando Jones. I can see how easy it is to mistake a black American actor with a white English one…silly me! Read the article here.
We will son be announcing the winners of the Christopher Lee contest. Mr. Lee himself is recording a video announcing the winners! At the moment however, his busy schedule means we will only know the winners in about 2 weeks. Patience please!
The stage show of Tolkiens Lord of the Rings opens in London on the 9th of May, and O2 has signed up for exclusive content including ringtones and O2-customer-preview nights. By all accounts the production is visually spectacular, though reviews from Canada were lacklustre, which bodes badly for a show which runs to almost 4 hours. O2 have sponsored a wide range of media events in the past, though this is their first excursion into theatre. [More]
The European Beta programme for The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar will officially go live this coming weekend, Codemasters Online Gaming and Turbine announced today. The programme will commence with the first The Lord of the Rings Online Stress Test on Saturday 13th January, which will officially open the Beta to a wider gaming audience. Thousands of eager Beta testers are expected to join the game in a unique opportunity to test the service to its limits. [More]
