A group of folks at Weta Digital are putting together a photo exhibition on at Thistle Hall Community Gallery next week (17th-21st September, 2006). A Wellington comedy duo have been snapped up by the American television network behind The Sopranos and Big Love to make a 12-part show that could be seen by millions of people. In what is a first for any New Zealand act, Bret McKenzie (aka Figwit in FOTR and ROTK) and Jemaine Clement of folk music parody duo Flight of the Conchords have been commissioned by American cable channel HBO to make a 12-part, half-hour comedy show starring themselves.
