Peter Jackson has no intention of buying the rights to China’s best-selling novel Wolf Totem. And he will not be raising wolves in New Zealand or having his Weta Digital company produce computer graphics of Mongolian wolves, either, says a spokesman for the New Zealand director, Matt Dravitzky. He was responding to an article in the New York Times that Jackson had acquired and planned to produce a film based on Wolf Totem.
