Two bits of news that are related have come from Robert of Caltanet. First is news of the Tolkien Fifty Years conference being organised by the Italian Tolkien Society and others, to be held in Brussels in March. TORn is currently making plans to provide a live video and audio broadcast of this year’s Oscar Party here on the website, in association with our friends at Nexcess.net. The hope is to let those who aren’t attending the event in person participate in the next best way – potentially also meeting up in Barliman’s to discuss what’s going on and touch base with any chatters at the party itself.
