Cinematographers Zoom in on Epics for Awards

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – According to their cameraman peers, the top feature film cinematography this year was seen in epics of both historical and fantastical nature. The five ASC Awards contenders, announced Tuesday by the American Society of Cinematographers, are: Russell Boyd for “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World,” Andrew Lesnie for “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” John Schwartzman for “Seabiscuit,” John Seale for “Cold Mountain” and John Toll for “The Last Samurai.” [More]
