Odd ‘Gollum’s Song’ Re-Mix

September 5, 2003 at 11:30 am by xoanon  -

Peter writes: I just received a review copy of a CD by jazz pianist Geoffrey Keezer which features an extended piano improvisation based on “Gollum’s Theme.” Keezer is an accomplished mainstream player, who has recorded with top players ranging from Art Blakey to Christian McBride. According to www.Allmusic.com, this is the first time “Gollum’s Song” has been given an interpretation other than that of the soundtrack recording. The MaxJazz CD, “Falling Up” is scheduled for release on September 23, 2003. [Pre-Order]
