John sends along this from a transcript of AOL TIme Warner’s Q2 earnings call, which was this past Wednesday (July 23rd). AOL CEO Dick Parsons is quoted as saying: “I would remind you all that New Line will be releasing the third installment of “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy. I saw some footage from this movie, and now I’m talking to you all as friends. Don’t miss this movie! This is going to blow your socks off of! It’s just going to be a fabulous, fabulous film. Based on what I’ve seen, it will be better than — than the two previous rings, and I think it will be a huge movie around the world.”
