ag x writes: I work in one of the major retail stores in the UK and I overheard one of my managers talking about the theatrical edition of TTT over the weekend and he said that the release date had been confirmed for us as being the first week in August which was practically the same time as we got the extended edition last year.

From Daily Variety: LOTR star and all-around renaissance man Viggo Mortensen has lined up shows around the world for his photographs. An exhibit of his works just closed at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery in Canton, N.Y. Next up, the Fototeca de Cuba will display images he shot recently in Morocco and South Dakota (May 6 to June 5). The Museum of Photographic Art in Denmark will also host a Mortensen retrospective covering 10 years of the artist’s snapshots (June 28 to Sept. 21).

Irascian writes: ‘DVD Review’ magazine has the following to say in its ‘Rumour Control’ news section: The TTT DVD will not be released on 30 June, as earlier reported. In a surprise move, distributor EIV has postponed the first edition and not revealed a new date. Peter Jackson has revealed some good news, however: the extended version will last an extra 30 minutes, requiring Weta to deliver another 150 computer generated shots’.
