Apart from the Oscars there are a whole lot more awards that The Two Towers can pick up, and you can even help with that! You can vote for The Two Towers as ‘Orange Film of the Year’ at the BAFTAS here (please don’t email me about this anymore), but there’s more! The Two Towers also picked up several AOL Moviegoer Awards, you can vote for TTT to win a few of those here, and last but not least TTT got nominated for the Internet Movie Awards and everyone should be able to vote for those here!
Lostfiniel writes: A guest speaker from the Fashion Institute of design and merchandising was talking to our class and mentioned that at their campus there will be a presentation of costumes from the movies nominated for best costume this year. There will be Two Towers costumes. It is the LA campus I believe…..the fashion school website is at fidm.com and they mention the exhibit for this year here!

Robyn writes: In its annual “Sex Issue”, Movieline magazine placed several members of the LOTR cast in their “sexiest” categories. Orlando Bloom was among their picks for sexiest actor and also received the nod for male with the sexiest cheekbones while Cate Blanchett was among their picks for sexiest voice. Under the category “Stars who would make the sexiest couple”, Movieline paired Viggo Mortensen with Angelina Jolie. (someone, somewhere…must care..I’m sure -Xo)
Jan writes in to tell us that the street date for the latest Elijah Wood (Frodo) film ‘Ash Wednesday’ is February 18th. Amazon.com has it listed for $18.74USD. In fact I can recall seeing a trailer for this film while at Blockbuster video this past weekend. [Amazon]
