The biggest compliment one could pay Howard Shore’s score to The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is to say that it accomplishes exactly what it needs to. Meager praise? Hardly. Shore’s work on The Fellowship of the Ring was one of the most detailed and vibrant scores ever set to a fantasy film.
