Well, more like visual effects and the movie magic side, but I’ve got to show you guys these 4 amazing pictures from hatchFX website. They show all the work put into the very very VERY short ‘scouring of the shire’ scene in which we see Sam and Rosie along with the rest of Hobbiton being opressed. This scene is shown in the film when Frodo looks into the mirror of Galadriel and sees things that may come to pass. HatchFX has 4 different shots of the same scene, each with a new element added, from concept art to matt painting to miniatures and then the actors. Take a look! [More]
