Of all the news stories I’ve seen regarding Lord of the Rings over the last three years, this has to be one of the most touching ones. This morning, a young 8 year old Canadian boy suffering from terminal cancer will receive an advanced screening of Fellowship of the Ring along with 100 friends and supporters in his local theatre in Ontario. A Christmas Wish for James Birrell, his condition is too fragile to make the trip to Toronto for the premiere on December 14th. In the final stages of neuroblastoma, James says he identifies most with Frodo. [More]
