“Cate Blanchett is great at crying on cue according to one of the stars of her new film. Bobby Slayton, who also appears in the film (Bandits), says Blanchett was a real pro when she had to cry: ‘There was one scene we did where she had to cry. We took the scene three or four times, and as soon as Barry, the director, said action, she turned on the tears’.” [More]

From Gothmog and Wife:
I taped the 5/10/01 edition of the Beeb’s film review show Film 2001, (or rather my wife did, as I was at work) expecting to see the new FOTR trailer on our 28.5 inch widescreen Dolby Digital TV. As I cannot download Q-time 5, I was panting in anticipation. When I flipped back my VCR, I was disappointed (if that word can actually be applied to the deliriously impressive footage) to find it was only the last half of the trailer! Point I’m (finally) making is the BBC’s hoopla about it being the new LOTR trailer, when it was in fact merely half of it. Boy what half though. In the end I should shut up and dance though. Half full is better than half empty eh?
Ringer Spy Queen of Rohan sends along these great pics of some very cool LOTR Sword pics! [More]

It seems that lucky German ringers will be able to pick out an image from FotR while they’re having their breakfast in the morning. Kelloggs.de, the German site for Kellogg’s Cereal has announced that there will be a card from a collection of 24 in every box of Kellogg’s cereal, to coincide with the release of the Fellowship of the Ring. The site also contains a Flash Lord of the Rings section complete with images of all 24 cards (which look fantastic), and an online game where you pit the character’s abilities against each other. Check it out now! [More]
Ringer Spy Pippin Skywalker mailed us today to let us know that a new trailer is due to be released on the official site for the Indie film, Ancanar. It will be available at some time between now and November. [More]
Some more information on the tour of some props from the Fellowship of the Ring which was announced last week, courtesy of Ringer Spy Ross:
