As the clock ticks down and the number of days until the Fellowship of the Ring dwindle more and more (two years really flew by), solid information on the ins and outs of the Fellowship is hitting the Internet thic and fast. If you blink, you’ll easily miss a fantastic image or tantalising piece of info. This weekend, the Hall of Fire takes a break from our Chapter discussions to discuss the Latest News and Rumours from the Fellowship of the Ring. [More]

I’ve been checking around the msg boards and reading all your wonderful emails, and I started seeing a trend, folks started telling me they were seeing Gollum…well..I to have seen him!!

A 30 second spot like this is, of course, really choppy, cuts cuts cuts everywhere…so it’s hard to spot. Right at the beginning, just after Gandalf says ‘The Shadow…’ and just before you hear that high screech of the wraiths…you can see a shot of Sam and Frodo in Mordor, and for just a split second, from the bottom left hand corner of the shot..you can see Gollum pop up!

Ringer spy Garrett chimed in to tell me the good news that Barrie Osborne himself will be there to attend the Lincoln Center screening this Sunday! No word yet on if he’ll stay for both shows, what an added bopnus, to talk to the MAN the producer of producers himself!

An unnamed source has confirmed a few things from the TV spot released last night. They are spoilers, including how the ring gets slipped on in Bree. Highlight to read:

– That is a shot of Sauron as he faces the Last Alliance.

– The shot of Frodo on the floor with the ring tumbling towards him is in the Prancing Pony in Bree. In this amazing slow-motion shot, the ring “accidentally” lands on the finger of the Hobbit’s outstretched hand, after he’s fallen from the table. An interesting illustration of the ring’s “will.”

– The Black Riders are indeed riding out of Mordor.

I have updated the Frame by Frame to reflect this new information.
