Matte Painting Of Mordor?

Guy stumbled across this matte painting while looking through the website of established artist Craig Mullins, a man who has worked on films like Contact, 13 Days, Prince of Egypt and also has some artwork in our Fan section. Mullins describes it as “An opening shot for a film test for a film not yet released”, so who knows, maybe it could be a test shot for Mordor?

UPDATED
It turns out that the matte painting isn’t from Lord of the Rings, but a seperate production.
