“Im from Australia and was just listening to an English show on pay-tv Foxtel called ‘The Antique Roadshow’,where people bring in old things from home to get it evaluated and a selling price. An old lady caught my attention when she brought in a ‘first edition’ copy of the hobbit. That would fetch a price itself, but inside was a ‘postcard?’ (thats what they called it) that had a introduction personally written and signed by J.R.R. Tolkien, sitting inside the front cover! These two items, both in good condition were evaluated to be worth more than 2,500 (English Pounds.)” Thanks GS for the story!
