Who Said the Movies will Kill the Books?

I thought you would be interested in this small tidbit of news from the library world. In the April 1, 2001 edition of Library Journal, (professional literature of the library biz) librarians are advised to stock up on the 1978 book entitled “A Tolkien Treasury.”

The upcoming release of the feature films is mentioned, and LJ speculates that there will be a significant demand for titles about Tolkien and his works. According to LJ this book is a reprint, which suggests that it may have been out of print.
